Camera Workshop 6 - Lighting and movement - Wednesday 12th November

Updated: Jan 14

On Wednesday 12th November, I attended my sixth camera workshop of my third year studying Television Production at Bournemouth University. Thank you to Mark Bond, I was able to use my previous skills and techniques used on other cameras to further practice and perfect camera movements and camera setups. This included setting up an interview shot with a subject. Finding a well-lit area as a base then adding extra lights to assist. I also tried using a range of prime lenses to remind myself of what depth of field works in different scenarios.

This workshop was a valuable final step in strengthening the technical skills and essential to cinematography. It was great to have the opportunity to learn everything that is needed in the industry.

Cameras and equipment used :

Canon C100
